Anaheim is a regional center for employment, with the net workday population of the city increasing over the night-time population by about twenty-five thousand people (7.4%) who commute into the city. Manufacturing jobs comprise 20.2% of the local jobs; followed by educational, health, and social services at 14.2%; retail trade at 11.5%, arts, entertainment, recreation, accommodations, and food services at 10.3%; and professional, scientific, management, administrative, and waste management services at 10.2%. Disney, of course, comes to mind as a major employer in Anaheim, but some others include Iteris, Inc. which specializes in communications equipment, sausagemaker Bridgford Foos Corp., Multi Finline Electronix Inc. – makers of printed circuit boards, medical laboratory Alliance Imaging Inc., Penhall International Corp., educational services provider New Horizons Worldwide Inc., and Pacific Sunwear of California Inc.
